Two-step verification

Add an authenticator app for an extra layer of security at sign-in.

Two-step verification (2FA) asks for a one-time code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.) in addition to your password.

You need a password set on your account before you can enable 2FA. Social-only accounts should set a password first (see: Set or change your password).

Turn it on

  1. On your profile, under Account Security, add a two-step verification method.
  2. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.

Signing in with 2FA

After entering your email and password, you'll be asked for the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

Manage or turn off

On your profile, under Account Security, you can view or disable it.
